HealthSpan: The New Architecture of Time
For a long time, the idea of longevity was linked solely to living longer. But what's gaining traction in medicine, architecture, and lifestyle is another type of longevity: one that preserves autonomy, vitality, and mental health. This is the principle of HealthSpan, the length of life lived with quality.
More than a trend, the concept has become a new benchmark for contemporary living. Instead of offering just square footage, location, or high-end finishes, luxury developments are now beginning to answer an essential question: how can this space support my health throughout my life?
At PACE, this questioning was taken to another level. The project was designed with the advice of triathletes and their families, focusing not only on performance, but also on balance. From this listening, solutions emerged that go beyond aesthetics: a gym with over 300m², facing the sunrise and connected to the circadian rhythm; a complete wellness structure within the building itself, to reduce commutes and optimize time during the day; a pool with an overflow edge, which improves the quality of workouts; and specific spaces for storing bicycles with high emotional value, respecting the real habits of those who live intensely. Each choice was made with purpose: to transform the space into a tool for a more active and conscious life.
The intention is to design spaces that respect each person's time and enhance the daily experience. Because true luxury lies in living where well-being doesn't need to be sought; it already surrounds you, every day.
