The healthiest buildings in the world, and what they teach us

In a world where living well is no longer just a matter of comfort, some buildings stand out for taking well-being to a new level. These are buildings that reveal a new understanding of contemporary living: a place where architecture, nature, and well-being cease to be separate elements and become part of a single narrative. These are buildings that respond to the urgent needs of our time without losing sight of the beauty and care for those who live there. A path that inspires and is already being followed by those who see the home as an active part of health and a balanced life.

From Europe to the Americas, we selected international icons that are redefining the way of living and revealing a possible and desirable future for cities.

AGE360 – Curitiba, Brazil A pioneer in the country, AGE360 is the first wellness building in Brazil certified with the highest score ever recorded globally by Fitwell, in addition to international recognition by BREEAM. The project combines design, innovation, and biophilia to promote a new way of living, focusing on integral well-being.

The Edge – Amsterdam, Netherlands Considered the most sustainable office building in the world (with 98.4% BREEAM), The Edge uses sensors, solar energy, cross-ventilation, and natural light to create an environment that balances technology, health, and productivity.

Bosco Verticale – Milan, Italy Two residential buildings that form a "vertical forest" in the heart of Milan. With over 900 trees and 20,000 plants, the project reduces noise pollution and helps absorb CO₂. A true symbol of urban biophilia applied to residential architecture.

520 West 28th – New York, USA Designed by Zaha Hadid, the project sculpts well-being in every detail. With fluid lines, fine materials, and integration with the High Line Park, the building conveys the idea of living in balance between body, mind, and environment—without sacrificing iconic design.

If you're in one of these cities, it's worth taking a closer look at these buildings. They reveal how architecture can become a true instrument of well-being, integrating silence, natural light, vegetation, and environmental balance into every detail of everyday life.
